NEW FEATURES ADDED FOR VERSION 2.75 - Released 2/22/99
IMPORTANT!!! There have been minor changes to the structure of a number of databases in this upgrade. You can download (save on your hard drive) the required upgrade file. However, you must contact us prior to installing
this upgrade so that we can walk you through a twenty minute set of procedures. We will accept this technical support call on our toll free number (888-748-7166).
Accounting 1. A "Yearly Total" column has been added to the Monthly/Quarterly breakdown summary table. This column will automatically calculate year-to-date totals for each line item in the table.
2. The Accounting module will now find and display records that are in the set Default Account only. This powerful feature will limit the number of records listed the found set so that the user does not have to review and/or
scroll past records from other account records stored in the accounting database.
Billing Invoices 1. Invoice project reference text field limit has been increased from 100 to 150 characters. This should allow the user to enter the full project title and location without truncating data.
2. A macro has been added to the Billing Invoice module that checks for blank invoices and automatically removes them from the database. 3. A script has been added to the module that sets all "Bill Now" checkboxes to
"No" when the module is opened. This will insure that only those invoices selected by the user (to be issued or re-issued in the current work session) will be printed.
Client/Contacts 1. A detailed list of contacts has been added to the Client/Contact module.
2. The drop-down list for telephone extension/location field located on the "Contact Information" view is now based on previously entered user defined data rather than being based on a predetermined default list of
options.
Employee Information 1. Calculated fields have been revised to increase system performance when calculating vacation, sick, holiday, etc. hours accrued, use, carried over, etc. for a specified period.
2. A message box will now appear when switching to the Vacation, Sick Leave view that warns the user that complex calculations can cause the view to display slowly.
Project Management 1. Data entered for "Client Type" has been revised. The user is no longer limited to the three radio button selections of "Public", "Private" and "Developer".
Default data for this field is based on the client type delineated in the proposal/contract record at the time of project activation.
Proposals/Contracts 1. The width of the project title field has been increase for the Estimated Fee Schedule, Auto Cover letter, Project Program, Hourly Rates, etc. views. Long project titles should now display
correctly in these views.
2. Data entered for "Client Type" has been revised. The user is no longer limited to the three radio button selections of "Public", "Private" and "Developer". The user can now enter any
description (up to 30 characters) into a text field box. The default data for this field is based on the subcategory delineated for the contact being selected when creating a new proposal.
3. The format for the fieldbox "Alteration" on the Project Info view has been changed to display square footage (i.e. 4,200sf ).
Time Sheet Summaries 1. Employee ID has been added to the search criteria of a number of time sheet summary reports. This feature will add additional flexibility when searching for specific time sheet records to
summarize.
Time Sheet Weekly Logs 1. A new summary report has been added to this module that allows any employee to access a report that summarizes hours logged for a specific period and/or project. The report will also allow the
user to obtain a summary of total vacation, sick leave, holiday, etc. hours logged. This powerful feature allows lower level employees to review basic summary information without being approved to access the Time Sheet
Summaries module.
2. The "Task Details" view has been revised to display a fieldbox that is approximately 80 characters wide. The user will now be warned if he/she enters more than the limit of 80 characters.
All Modules 1. Various data inconsistencies can occur when an individual prematurely closes a module or the program using the "x" located in the upper right corner of the open window. Therefore, this feature
has been removed from the user at the module and program window levels. Always exit a module and the program using the designed menu structure. This will insure proper data and record handling. Please note that the minimize and
maximize buttons are available at the program level.
Various Modules 1. The field for "Project Reference" text has been enlarge in various areas of the program (i.e. correspondence, invoices, transmittals, etc.).
2. Various revisions to remove minor bugs and improve user interface.
