Introduction to Transmittals

The Transmittals module is used to record and store various items that are transmitted by the firm to clients, consultants, contractors, etc... Data from this database is integrated into other areas of the program and is used to calculate project printing and reproduction costs, track postal/delivery charges, etc... The "Transmittal Information" view allows you to record transmittal data by specifying the number of sets, copies/set, drawing numbers, dates and detailed descriptions for up to twelve different items on each transmittal record. Drop-down lists provided for various data fields automate the task of entering information about each item transmitted. The reimbursable data is integrated into reports, summaries, tables and charts. These pre-designed views will help you visualize the recorded data and allow you to analyze printing, photocopying, postal/delivery logs, and expenses for specific projects.

MODULE FEATURES

The Transmittal module is joined to other areas of the program (i.e. Project Management, Billing Invoices). The data recorded in the "Transmittal Information" view is integrated with these joined databases to:

NOTE: Reimbursable expenses (i.e. printing, photocopying, postal/delivery) are calculated from data recorded in this database. Therefore, it is important to create transmittal information records for items that have been transmitted from another point of origin (e.g. construction documents printed by a reproduction service and delivered directly to the client).
